Our goal is to build meaningful relationships with tea farmers across China and beyond, adding value through education, experimentation, and shared innovation. By exchanging knowledge about cultivation, fermentation, and roasting, we empower these farming communities—improving livelihoods, enriching the soil, and pushing the boundaries of flavour.
To date, Project Atlas has taken us on a remarkable journey through tea-growing regions in every corner of China, and beyond—tracing flavour trails into Vietnam and Cambodia. From the misty mountains of Anhui and Fujian to the lush landscapes of Na'an, every trip deepens our understanding of tea’s endless potential.
Each journey is dedicated to flavour discovery, made possible by close collaboration with farmers at the source. We work alongside local tea communities, experimenting together with roasting profiles, processing methods, and carefully controlled fermentations. Our shared aim is simple yet ambitious: uplift local farmers, enhance their craft, innovate new techniques, and ensure the value created goes back into their hands.
We see fermentation and processing not just as techniques, but as transformative opportunities. By guiding fermentation carefully, we’re able to coax extraordinary flavours from tea leaves—notes and complexities that would otherwise remain undiscovered. This enables farmers to sell their harvest as premium products rather than mere commodities, improving their livelihoods and celebrating their skill.
More recently, we've begun revisiting farms that produce components of our most cherished blends. Building deeper relationships with these growers ensures trust, quality, and consistency. Through repeated visits and knowledge-sharing, we’re able to maintain the same high standards across our entire line—bringing the clarity, complexity, and excitement of single-origin teas to every cup we craft.
